Believe
Somebody once asked me
"In what do you believe?"
And I answered them simply
"I believe in everything"
I believe in you,
I believe in me
I believe in hope and faith,
And so much in reality
I believe in innocence,
Because it makes me smile,
And I see it every single day,
On the face of my child
I believe in passion,
And a love that burns so deep,
Yes, I
believe
In everything
I
believe
In the little steps of my life,
And where they'll take me
I
believe
In living in the moment,
And that you make your destiny
Someone once asked me,
"Do you believe in anything?"
And I answered them simply,
"No, I believe in

living in the dark.

i write 'i miss you' on
my wrists. i name
my pet fish after you and
scribble gibberish on the walls.
the letters always spell out

let's ditch the airway
and fly high, away from everything
we'll paint rainbows from up there
and catch the stars and collect them in crystal jars
we'll wear dresses made of dreams
and breathe the air that sorrow created
(we'll make the sorrow something good)
lets use those broken hearts
(tape them up, stitch with safety pins)
and use them to pin point our map

if you ever cried, your tears would become amethyst
they'd be shining, and bright, and beautiful
and we would bury them
(maybe something wonderful will grow in their place)
